Along with programmes focused on Romanian cinema and classics by Robert Bresson, TIFF kicked off the Winter 2020 season with its film series, Best of the Decade. A panel of TIFF programmers consulted film curators, historians, and archivists to develop a list of some of the best films that the past decade had to offer. To promote this diverse range of programming, a flexible design system was developed. Impactful typography paired with a monochromatic palette unify the programmes, while abstract frames act as portals through which the viewer may dive into the unexpected and exciting world of cinema.
